About Us
Our Club began in 1986 with a few individuals who wanted to simply reconnect with nature and to exercise for better health. Over time the club has reached out to provide an avenue for people of all ages to enjoy walking as a recreational and social activity both on and off the beaten track.
As it is a group activity, the club has fostered a team of experienced and dedicated Walk Leaders who ensure that members and visitors walk in a safe and secure environment.
We seek out interesting places to visit and aim to make each event a voyage of discovery. Most importantly we offer those who participate the opportunity to socialise and make lifelong friendships with like minded people.
About Bunbury
Bunbury is a harbour city on the shores of Koombana Bay, 2 hours drive south of Perth. It has a population of 60,000 and is the second largest city in Western Australia. It is the gateway city to the South West where pristine beaches for surfing, swimming and diving complement the unique inland forests of Jarrah, Karri, Marri and Tuart. The coastal scenery and the forests provide ideal opportunities for walking and exploring. The region is famous for its wineries, boutique restaurants and its fine craft industry.
All in all Bunbury has all of the amenities and services that make it an ideal attraction for living and visiting. It is the regional hub for the South West, boasting major shopping; a wide variety of accommodation facilities for tourists; cinemas and a modern entertainment centre.
The city has achieved fame through its Dolphin Discovery Centre where visitors can wade in the bay with experienced volunteers and enjoy an up-close and personal encounter with the wild, but gentle, Bottlenose Dolphins.
