ELLENBROOK CIRCUIT – CAPE TO CAPE TRACK DAY WALK

Approx. 9 km/3hr Grade 3 walk circuit walk. Commences at the Ellensbrook Homestead car park where there are toilets. From the Carpark we follow a well-maintained path to Meekadarabee Cave, and then follow the Cape to Cape track to the park boundary from where there is a long slow climb to the ridge which we follow south for about 3.5 km through some coastal scrub. Just before the turnoff to the beach there are some limestone pinnacles. We follow a steep descent to the beach and then head north along the beach for about a km. After crossing a small soak, we head north for another 2 km coming to Ellenbrook creek which we will have to wade across. After that it is back to the carpark where we can have lunch on the grass.

Meet at the Highway Hotel car park at 0745 for a 0800hr departure to car pool or 0900 at Ellensbrook Homestead.

To get to Ellensbrook travel south to Cowaramup then turn west to Caves Road and then south onto Caves Road. At Ellen Brook Road turn west and follow the road to end up at the Ellensbrook car park.
